Since 1957, Malta has issued a number of znaczki devoted to the Royal Houses of Europe and the Commonwealth. These include a series dedicated to the coronations of Queen Mary, the heir apparent to the British throne, and a series commemorating the role played by Malty in the II Wojny Swiatowej.

Polphilex 1960


The 60th anniversary of the first issuance of a Polskie Znaczki Pocztowe stamp was celebrated in London with the prestigious exhibition titled “Polphilex 1960”. This event, organized by the Polish Postal Society in Great Britain, featured two pamiatkowe winieta - the pierwsze polskie znaczka pocztowa and okolicznosciowa pocztowka, as well as a souvenir sheet with a stamp and a facsimile signature of Ignacy Jan Paderewski. This was the first time that this event was held outside Poland and was a major success. The exhibition was attended by over 1500 philatelists from all over the world.
